21 & 22 March 2025 shows
Hitting the road again with The Movement is always an adventure, and this past weekend in Germany was no exception. From long drives and great hospitality to two unforgettable shows, it reminded me once again why I love doing this. So here’s a little recap of our weekend in Scheggerott and Hamburg.
We set off from Copenhagen on Friday morning, heading south toward Scheggerott, a small German town where we’d be playing that night. After hours on the road, we finally arrived at the venue, where we were welcomed with open arms by Enzo, a promoter who also organises Enzo Festival (The Movement played there in 2019). The night started strong with The Sheeps E-band, a reggae/ska act that set the perfect vibe for what was to come.
By the time The Movement hit the stage, the energy in the room was already electric. There’s something about these smaller, more intimate venues that creates an almost magical connection between the band and the audience. From the first chord to the last, the crowd was engaged—singing, dancing, and feeding the band’s energy right back at them. These are the nights that make all the long drives and late nights worth it.
The night flew by, and we were reminded once again why we love touring – it’s the people, the music, and the shared moments that make it all worth it.
After the show, we were lucky enough to be hosted by a truly one-of-a-kind person: Mario. Mario, an artist with an eye for the unusual, owns a house that’s like nothing we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that his place was a work of art in itself.
The house is filled with quirky statues and paintings in every corner—each piece seemingly more eccentric than the last. But it didn’t stop there. Around 20 motorbikes and motorbike parts are scattered throughout the house, many of which Mario personally repairs in his workshop area. Imagine working in a room surrounded by art and motorcycles, all while listening to the hum of creativity. We couldn’t get enough of it! It was a surreal experience to witness Mario’s passion for both his art and his bikes come to life in this space.
Not only was Mario an amazing host, but so was his partner and their son, who made us feel right at home. On Saturday morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, lovingly prepared by the whole family. As we gathered around the table, sharing stories, talking about life, and just enjoying the moment, we felt incredibly grateful for their hospitality. It was one of those moments you don’t forget—full of warmth, laughter, and the feeling of being welcomed into someone’s world.
Oh, and I have to mention their beautiful cat, originally from Crete. With striking eyes that almost seemed to glow, she added a touch of calm to our morning as she sat by our side while we ate and chatted.
Before we left, Lukas and I couldn’t resist checking out Mario’s bikes. One in particular caught our attention—a tiny one, almost like a toy. After some hesitation (and a lot of laughs), we decided to take it for a spin. Let’s just say, our riding skills need some work! We even got a video of the moment, which I’m sure will resurface at some point for everyone’s amusement.
After saying our goodbyes, we hit the road toward Hamburg for our second show of the weekend. Playing at Indra Music Club was something special—this venue has a rich history, and the second we stepped inside, we could feel it in the air.
The night kicked off with Sascha und die Heringe, bringing a wild energy to the stage. Then came Fornhorst, keeping the momentum going with a killer set. By the time The Movement took over, the crowd was already fired up and ready to go.

As we played, the connection with the audience in Hamburg was electric. The historic venue, filled with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, made our performance feel even more special. The crowd was amazing—loud, passionate, and engaged from the first note to the last. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the weekend.

After the show, we got to catch up with some old friends—people who have been following The Movement since 2005. It’s always incredible to reconnect with familiar faces and hear their stories of past gigs, favorite moments, and what the music means to them.
After two amazing nights, it was time to pack up and head home. The drive back to Copenhagen was quiet—probably because we were all exhausted—but our minds were still buzzing with the memories of the weekend. From Mario’s unforgettable hospitality to the wild energy in Hamburg, this trip was a reminder of everything we love about touring: meeting incredible people, experiencing new places, and sharing music with those who truly appreciate it.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support The Movement in Scheggerott and Hamburg. These shows were special, and we can’t wait to do it all over again soon!
Stay tuned—there’s plenty more to come!
